On February 24, 2021, G&H Contracting, Inc. was proud to hand over Fire Station 7 to the City of Roanoke for their official ribbon cutting! This was a very exciting project, Including the new construction of a two-story firehouse in the heart of Roanoke, VA. During construction, G&H incorporated aspects of the previous 90-year-old building to commemorate the fire station’s history throughout the City of Roanoke. These aspects are present in the foyer entrance of the building, including concrete squares from the demolished station that were placed into the brick wall to pay homage to those who served. In the lounge area, G&H was additionally able to use the front end of a retired fire truck to frame the TV. See the below video of Fire-EMS Chief David Hoback walking you through the new state-of-the-art Fire Station.
